Trova Website Redesign

I redesigned the corporate website for Trova Commercial Vehicles, an electric commercial vehicle company based in Fairlawn, Virginia. In my redesign, I focused on creating a clean and professional user experience and design aesthetic while still staying true to the mission and theme of the company.

I am including several pieces showcasing my website redesign. These include a video animation highlighting the website’s user experience design, a side-by-side comparison of the two homepages, and individual images of the separate web pages.

Finding the Right Balance Between Information and Design

In 2020, Patrick Collignon, the CEO and founder of Trova Commercial Vehicles in Fairlawn, Virginia, assigned me to redesign their corporate website. He was concerned that the company’s old website was outdated and needed upgrading to stay relevant to its target audience. In my research, I discovered their target audience consisted mainly of like-minded business professionals and dealers within the electric commercial vehicle industry. I wanted my new design to have a modern mechanical design aesthetic while still having all the necessary company information.

Achieving the Right Balance Between Aesthetics and Branding

In my final website design, I aimed to achieve harmony between my modern mechanical aesthetic and the existing Trova brand. From a design perspective, I incorporated an industrial color palette of shades of gray, black, and white and the unique orange color of Trova’s logo to provide an intense accent color. I also included several pictures of commercial trucks and other relevant photography in key places within the website. When reformatting the website’s information, I put each category on a separate page, creating a non-cluttered feeling and allowing users to find desired information quickly.
